A photo taken backstage at an early Beatles concert, "Operation Big Beat II" at the Tower Ballroom, shortly before they gained international fame. Paul McCartney and the band's original drummer Pete Best clasp hands. Emile Ford, a more established singer who shared the bill with them, is in the foreground. This print comes from the photo archives of 16 Magazine, which published it in the late 1960s.
